WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A pageant unlike most others is taking place in Wilmington. Opera House Theatre Company is holding its annual Womanless Beauty Pageant fundraiser.

All the contestants are actually men dressed in gowns, wigs and high heels, with names like Miss Ida Slapter and Miss Ginger Snapps.

They'll compete in evening wear, talent, group dance numbers and interview for the coveted title of Most Womanless. There will also be awards for Almost Womanless, Nearly Womanless, Miss Congeniality and Miss Appropriation of Funds (the contestant who sells the most raffle tickets).

Former winners Miss Wilma Fingerdoo and Miss Anita Mann will give away their titles.

The pageant takes place Saturday, Nov. 1 at Thalian Hall at 8 p.m. For tickets, click here: http://bit.ly/1q8FeZW
